Starting to realise that for me art is about connecting to ‘that’. It is about stillness, energy, chaos and connecting with myself as a gateway to connecting with other.

Dana Marshall

 

Dana Marshall (18 September 1962, Brooklyn New York) studied photography and visual arts in the United States and the Netherlands. She received a Bachelor of Fine Art's degree in Photography at The School of Visual Arts in New York City, with an Outstanding Student Award in 1985.

 

For two years she attended the Rijksacademie van Beeldende Kunsten (Post Graduate National Academy of Visual Arts) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Since 1989 Dana Marshall lives and works as an artist in the Netherlands. Her work can be found in renowned collections such as; The Tate Gallery and The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, The Museum of Madern Art in San Francisco and the photography collections of Bart Hartkamp and Manfred Heiting.
